CLARK Contracts has held a World Cup-themed fundraising event in support of its nominated company charity, SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health).
The event raised £1,000, with it coming ahead of the 2026 Football World Cup. Comprising three competitive challenges – most keepy-ups, most goals, and a dribbling challenge – with an overall World Champion trophy awarded to the highest‑scoring team. Employees embraced the theme, dressing up as their allocated countries, with each department competing as a team across the events.
With medals spread across seven competing nations, the refurbishment Division, representing Scotland, were crowned the World Cup champions!
Following the competitive element, employees enjoyed pizza for lunch and took part in additional games – including a prize for best‑dressed nation. This was awarded to the maintenance division, which represented France. A raffle was also held, with the lucky winner receiving an additional day’s holiday.
Clark Contracts has supported SAMH since 2020 and formally launched a fundraising partnership with the charity in June 2022. Since then, the company has raised over £25,000 in support of SAMH’s work.
Gordon Cunningham, MD of Clark Contracts, said, “We are delighted to have raised a further £1,000 for SAMH. Our employees have shown fantastic support for the partnership, helping to support the vital work carried out by SAMH. We look forward to continuing our partnership and further raising awareness of mental health.”
Chris Docherty, account manager at SAMH, added, “The team at Clark Contracts continue to amaze us with their commitment, enthusiasm and ideas when it comes to raising funds and awareness of the 70 services SAMH run across the country. We at SAMH are committed to pursuing a society where people can live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances, through actions underpinned by dignity, respect and equality. It is through strong partnerships that we are able to achieve this goal. Thank you for committing to this aim and fuelling our mission in Talking Action and Creating Change in Scotland.”
