OVER £40,000 was raised for two charities at DM Hall’s recent Summer Ball.
300 employees, customers, suppliers and friends of the chartered surveying firm attended the event at Edinburgh’s Prestonfield House, which was described as the highlight of the company’s corporate social responsibility calendar.
Alzheimer Scotland and Macmillan Cancer Support will benefit from the evening, which was hosted by broadcaster Grant Stott and featured a range of auction prizes including a £4,500 diamond necklace, a week on a 7000-acre shooting estate and a country house weekend for 12 in Boat of Garten.
John Albiston, senior partner at DM Hall said, “Our Summer Ball was a spectacular success with our guests and colleagues dancing the night away into the small hours. The highlight for me was the amazing sum of £40,000 raised for our chosen charities.”
Linda Thompson, corporate fundraiser for Alzheimer Scotland added, “We are very grateful to DM Hall in its fundraising efforts for our charities and involving us in organising the Summer Ball which has raised an enormous sum which will go towards our work helping us ensure nobody faces dementia alone.”

The money raised on the night will help up support more people living with cancer in the local community.”
