AN award-winning bi-fold door system from Eurocell was chosen for a development of £500,000 sea-front holiday properties in North Wales.
Lissett Homes, the York-based leisure home manufacturer, also went a step further further by sourcing a complete range of products from Eurocell.
The project involved fabricating windows and entrance doors using the Eurologik profile system, along with a full range of building plastics from the Eurocell branch in York. The branch provides a just-in-time delivery service to Lissett, which receives free next day deliveries from the branch or can collect any of the 4,000-plus stocked building plastics products on the same day.
The single source supply enables Lissett and its client Haulfryn to specify perfectly colour-matched products across its deluxe range of homes.
A combination of aesthetics, ultra slim frames and elimination of the need for a dummy mullion at the transit door, convinced Lissett to specify the Aspect bi-fold doors. Even when the doors are closed occupants can continue to enjoy the sea views from their homes at The Warren, Gwynedd.
Aspect is the UK’s first and only bi-fold door range to hold British Board of Agrément Approval and was highly commended in the Housebuilder Awards. It met the quality standards expected by Lissett, which manufactures all elements of its homes, including doors and windows, to control quality at every stage.
As well as holding BBA Approval, the bi-fold door system meets BS6375 and BS: PAS24, the British Standard for enhanced security performance of door assemblies, along with PAS23 general performance and weather tightness.
Lissett specified the doors in white ash with satin silver hardware.
