GRAHAM has completed the build of a 321-apartment purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Glasgow ahead of the new academic year.
The £38 million St Vincent Studios project has been delivered on behalf of developer Artisan Real Estate and Housing Growth Partnership, the Lloyds-backed investor in the UK living sector. The complex is operated by Homes for Students under its Prestige Student Living brand.
St Vincent Studios replaces a 1970s city centre office building that had been vacant since 2019. The green terracotta building sits within walking distance of the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow Caledonian University, the Glasgow School of Art and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
The 321 studios are spread across the 16-storey building, alongside study areas, a gym, a cinema room, a games room, private dining and a sky lounge. Residents also have five roof terraces and internal storage for 160 bikes.
David Westwater, MD for Scotland at Artisan Real Estate, cut the ribbon at St Vincent Studios to formally open the development, joined by William Ross, construction director at GRAHAM, and Alastair Bain, commercial director for Scotland at Artisan Real Estate.
William Ross said, “Handing over St Vincent Studios marks the completion of a complex city centre build, delivered ahead of programme and within budget while working alongside occupied and listed neighbours. The scheme reflects the depth of GRAHAM’s work across Glasgow’s student and residential sectors, where we’re delivering a growing pipeline that ranges from PBSA to build-to-rent.”
David Westwater added, “We are delighted to see this fantastic building completed and handed over ahead of schedule. Graham Construction and the design team have delivered an exemplar student accommodation in the heart of Glasgow city centre on an extremely tight and challenging site.

Interest in the studio apartments has been high, with bookings from both the UK and abroad, and having a completed building to showcase ahead of the start of the academic year will allow us to build on that early interest.”
GRAHAM is progressing further student accommodation in Glasgow. At Central Quay, the contractor is building a 934-bedroom development for Unite Students, set to open for the 2027/28 academic year.
