FALKIRK-based Jenkins Fabrications has relocated to a new location at Bankside Industrial Estate which has doubled the size of its fabricating operation.

The new base has created a bespoke, modern environment for its workforce as the business looks to achieve its target of being the number one steel fabricator in Scotland for the housebuilding and construction industries.

The third-generation family business has been delivering support to these sectors since 1958, and the move is central to its strategy for growth. MD Jonny Jenkins views the relocation as the ideal springboard for the firm to achieve its ambition within the target industries as well as broadening its production capacity for other sectors.

“Our previous base at Redding served us well for many years,” he said. “However, as we move forward with our plans, the size and quality of our operating plant is absolutely crucial, and this upgrade on all fronts in our new space will support the targets we have for the future.

“With this move, we are building on the success of the past five years and with a skilled workforce which now numbers more than 30, we are able, in this new environment, to expand our services to sectors such as renewables and energy.

“In addition, the quality of this new Bankside base enables us to expand our apprenticeship and training opportunities. These have always been an important aspect of Jenkins’ culture, and we are delighted that we will now be ideally placed to consolidate this work and support the career development of young people and others locally.”
