DM Hall has selected SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) as one of the firm’s new corporate charity partners for the next 12 months.
The chartered surveying business said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting positive mental health and wellbeing among staff and within the wider communities it serves.
The decision to support SAMH, which has been dedicated to supporting mental health in Scotland since 1923 and operates around 70 services across the country, follows an internal nomination process among DM Hall’s team members.
DM Hall’s marketing manager, Stephanie Stewart, who recently visited The Nook in Glasgow – the first of SAMH’s national network of walk‑in mental health and wellbeing hubs – said, “We are pleased to name SAMH as one of our new corporate charity partners. Its work aligns closely with our ongoing efforts to support good mental health within DM Hall and across the communities where we operate.
“As part of this commitment, every DM Hall colleague will have the opportunity to volunteer to work one day a year with SAMH, whether that involves helping with activities, supporting wellbeing sessions or participating in fundraising events. We are looking forward to making a meaningful and positive contribution.”
Michelle Forfar from SAMH’s corporate partnerships team added, “We are delighted that DM Hall has chosen SAMH as its new charity partner. We appreciate the firm’s commitment to promoting mental health, through volunteering staff time as well as raising both money and awareness. The funds raised through our partnership will go towards vital mental health support services in communities throughout Scotland. We look forward to working closely together over the next year to promote better wellbeing for all.”
Over the course of the partnership, DM Hall will take part in a series of fundraising initiatives, volunteering days, and monthly wellbeing-focused sessions inspired by the work delivered at The Nook and SAMH’s wider network of services.
