Rodger Group boosts senior team with triple director appointment

RODGER Group has announced the strengthening of its executive leadership team with the appointment of commercial, financial, and operations directors.

The Scotland-based group operates Build Depot, Thornbridge Timber, Bath & Tile Studio and GTi Direct.

Build Depot operates as a general builders’ merchant serving trade and retail customers across four branches in Scotland. Thornbridge Timber supplies timber, sheet materials and joinery products from its Motherwell base. Bath & Tile Studio provides a retail and trade bathroom and tiling offer integrated within the group’s merchant network. GTi Direct represents the group’s energy-efficiency and renewable technologies division, manufacturing underfloor insulation systems and specialist products including PerformPipe — a pre-insulated pipe system designed for heat pump installations.

Each trading business operates with its own specialist focus and management team. Rodger Group said the strengthened group structure is designed to support those businesses through ‘disciplined commercial oversight and operational consistency’, while allowing local teams to remain close to their customers.

Peter Barclay joins as commercial director, bringing senior sales leadership experience including sales director at Marshalls plc and head of sales at The Beal Group. He will lead commercial strategy across all divisions.

Craig Findlay has been appointed financial director. A and former group CFO at The Beal Group, he will oversee financial governance, reporting, and funding strategy.

Ross Telford joins as operations director. He spent nearly eight years with National Timber Group, latterly as property & resource director responsible, and previously held senior roles at Rembrand Timber. He will lead operational performance and integration across the business.

Mark Rodger, group MD, said, “These appointments strengthen leadership across our merchanting, timber, retail, and energy divisions. Our focus remains firmly on supporting our trading businesses and their teams as we continue to develop the group for the long term.”
