WORKING together to help support Scotland’s transition to net zero will be among the topics discussed at an upcoming membership meeting of SELECT, the trade association for the electrical contracting industry in Scotland.
The Electric Heating Company (EHC) is to host the association’s Lanarkshire branch meeting at its head office in Blantyre on Tuesday, 7 October, where key voices from the sector will come together for an evening of discussion, collaboration, and insight.
SELECT delivers training courses to more than 3,500 electricians each year. This is the first time EHC has staged such a gathering, saying the event reflects the firm’s commitment to collaboration and its support for SELECT’s mission to promote technical excellence, safety, and sustainability in electrical contracting.
EHC’s sales manager for Scotland, Garry Cowan, will be hosting the event. He said, “We’re delighted to welcome SELECT members to EHC for the first time. This meeting is a chance to strengthen relationships, share ideas, and explore how we can work together to support the transition to net zero through high-quality electric heating solutions.
“There is a lack of knowledge out there which we are trying to address. Everyone thinks net zero is all about air source heat pumps but we want to broaden people’s horizons and open their eyes to other solutions.”
Members attending will have the opportunity to engage directly with EHC’s leadership team, explore partnership opportunities, and learn more about the company’s commercial and residential product ranges.
The event, which starts at 6.30pm at EHC’s Scottish HQ at Blantyre Industrial Estate, is the first of five SELECT branch meetings to be held throughout Scotland next week.
