DM Hall has announced its largest ever single annual intake of graduates.
The 128-year-old company has brought in 15 graduates who will take up positions across its wide range of surveying disciplines and locations, as well as participating in a structured training programme which will prepare them for their RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.
In recognition of the importance of the quality of talent, partner Ian Woods, head of the West of Scotland commercial valuation department, will be taking on further learning and development and graduate recruitment roles.
John McHugh, managing partner of DM Hall, said, “It is very satisfying to be able to give these talented and dedicated young people the opportunity to create a career in a rewarding, respected and socially useful profession.
“They bring up-to-the-minute knowledge from their university courses, fresh perspectives and technological fluency to the mix and they will very quickly learn to contribute substantially to their departments.
“The surveying profession is always facing new challenges – in the current climate from new technologies and increasingly complex regulations – and these young people will be among the cohort who will meet and overcome these challenges.”
Ian Woods added, “Everyone in the firm is delighted that we are able to support such significant numbers of new talent, who will be the future of the surveying profession as it navigates the hurdles of the 21st century.
“We have already had a social coffee morning to let them get to know each other and had them together for a CPD event. I am sure they will be valuable additions to the departments where they will undertake their training.”
