NorDan UK, the Livingston-based supplier of high-performance windows and doors, has announced it is reinforcing its long-standing commitment to Scotland through its two dedicated regional divisions — Scotland South and Scotland North.
Each is led by specialist teams delivering locally tailored services across the central belt and the northern regions, respectively.
While NorDan operates nationwide, its Scottish roots run deep. The company first entered the UK via Aberdeen, due to its climate’s similarity to Scandinavia — conditions that NorDan’s products are specifically engineered to handle.
NorDan’s Scotland North division serves a wide geography with solutions tailored to its unique market dynamics. The Scotland North team, led by regional manager Nicola Webster and supported by sales manager Craig Thomson, works across commercial, public, and residential developments throughout Aberdeen, Inverness, the Highlands, and remote island communities. With a strong presence in energy hubs like Aberdeen where the transition to renewables is shaping new infrastructure — and across rural areas prioritising sustainable growth — NorDan explained that its products and partnerships are ‘built to last’.
Nicola Webster commented, “Scotland North has often been described as the cornerstone of the NorDan UK business. As the first location for NorDan in the UK, we have proudly supplied the region with high quality products for over 40 years. During this time, we have built strong, lasting relationships with our customers — founded on service, trust and a strong commitment to quality.
“Our dedicated team support projects from specification, all the way through to site support and aftercare, always focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers. With established offices in Aberdeen and Inverness and a growing sales presence, we are well placed to serve the needs of our customers across the region and strengthen our position as a leading supplier in the market.”
NorDan listed key distinctions of the Scotland North approach as including:
• Regional knowledge of remote logistics, marine exposure, and planning sensitivities, especially in conservation and coastal zones.
• Support for community-scale and off-grid housing developments where long product life cycles and energy efficiency are critical.
• Close collaboration with architects and public sector partners on net-zero initiatives, retrofit schemes, and timber-led designs in line with Scotland’s 2045 emissions targets.
Complementing the efforts of both regional teams, NorDan’s dedicated hardware department, based in Aberdeen, provides an on-demand service across the UK. Established in 2017, deliveries to mainland UK sites are made within 48 hours of placement, minimising downtime and enhancing project efficiency.
NorDan’s Scotland South division has also been built over time to address the evolving needs of Scotland’s construction market. Today, it stands as a ‘specialist, agile, and deeply embedded’ team. At a time when construction forecasts point to ongoing labour shortages, compliance challenges, and decarbonisation pressures, NorDan explained its Scotland South unit is uniquely positioned to help clients cut through complexity and deliver at pace.
According to Scottish Government statistics, over 110,000 affordable homes are targeted for delivery by 2032, with at least 70% designated for social rent and 10% in rural and island communities.
The Scotland South team, led by regional director David Gillon and supported by sales director Graham Meldrum, partners with clients, contractors, architects, and homeowners across every stage of the build cycle — from initial specification to final installation.
“Scotland South is a fully operational sales and product support unit with a clear purpose: to remove friction for our customers, adapt quickly to changing site conditions, and support successful project delivery in a challenging construction environment,” David Gillon said. “From energy regulations to material logistics and skilled labour shortages, we’re helping our customers navigate complexity with confidence.”
Every member of the Scotland South team works exclusively within the unit, offering ‘deep local insight, specialist product knowledge, and fast, responsive service’, the manufacturer added.
NorDan claimed that what sets Scotland South apart is its ‘hands-on approach, local decision-making, and the ability to operate with the speed and accountability’ that today’s market demands.
For the residential market, Scotland South provides a supply and fit service, managing every step from site measurement to final install. This is said to have proven especially valuable for smaller developers and self-builders navigating tight timelines and fragmented supply chains.
“From Dingwall to Dumfries, NorDan’s integrated Scotland teams bring national expertise with true regional commitment — offering local service, faster turnaround, and fewer project risks,” the business added.
