ROBERTSON Partnership Homes has announced the appointment of John Baggley as its new MD.
He joins from CCG (Scotland) Ltd, where he was a board member with responsibility for overall contract operations. John started his career as an apprentice joiner, before joining CCG in 2008 as a general foreman.
Robertson Partnership Homes builds social housing for local authorities and registered social landlords (RSLs). The business benefits from the capabilities of the wider Robertson Group with structural timber frames designed and engineered in-house. From 2015 to 2024, Robertson delivered 7,000 affordable homes across Scotland and north east England.
John Baggley said, “Robertson Partnership Homes is the partner of choice for a number of long-term customers, and I am looking forward to leading the team to further strengthen those relationships, and work with new customers. Robertson is well positioned to meet the needs of customers who are seeking to standardise house types so that efficiencies can be maximised during construction and when the homes are in use, leading to a reduction in design costs, waste and energy consumption for tenants.
“Having started my career as an apprentice joiner, one of the things that really stands out to me is the commitment of Robertson to young people. It is important to me that career pathways and opportunities for progression are available, and if we can encourage young people to a career in housebuilding, we will play our part in securing the future of our sector.”
Elliot Robertson, CEO of Robertson Group, added, “Local authorities and RSLs are presently dealing with a housing emergency with the demand for energy-efficient and quality homes at an all-time high. We are delighted to welcome John to lead the board at Robertson Partnership Homes to meet the needs of our customers, and I look forward to working with him as we work with our customers on new programmes of work, and seek to address the skills shortages in the housebuilding sector.”
