CLARK Contracts has delivered two recent projects for NHS Ayrshire & Arran for refurbishment works within The Scholars, Kilmarnock and to Stewarton Medical Practice.
The first project included the refurbishment of an existing residential property in Kilmarnock to create student accommodation facilities for medical students. The existing property was adapted and repurposed to create a four-bed, three-bath property, with communal living space.
The second project comprised the construction of a new extension to Stewarton Medical Centre to house four new GP consultation rooms.
Both projects were awarded via the NHS National Services Scotland’s Scottish Minor Building Works framework which the main contractor was re-appointed to in 2023. Clark is appointed to two lots of the framework, which covers the delivery of projects up to £1.5 million across all mainland health boards as well as for special health boards such as NHS NSS, Scottish Ambulance Service, NHS24, and NHS Education for Scotland.
Gerry Cummins, director at Clark Contracts, said, “Having been appointed to the NHS minor works framework since 2015 and having delivered over 25 projects in the past three years we have developed a strong relationship with numerous NHS Scotland health boards in recent years. We are delighted to have worked collaboratively with NHS Ayrshire & Arran to deliver these projects.”
