SIDEY Solutions has expressed its delight after being shortlisted for multiple awards, celebrating both individual and company-wide achievements.
Billy Bagnall, the firm’s Modern Apprentice in fenestration installation, has been named a Finalist for the Modern Apprentice of the Year (SCQF Level 5) award at this year’s Scottish Apprenticeship Awards.
Billy joined the Perth-based company in 2023 after re-engaging with education and studying joinery at Perth College. His craftsmanship and dedication have led him to complete finishes on high-value conservatories — an achievement Sidey said is typically reserved for more experienced professionals.
The business has also been shortlisted in two categories at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Awards. Sidey is in contention for both the Large Business of the Year and Developing Young Workforce accolades. Sidey has also been confirmed as a finalist for the SME Employer of the Year award at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards in recognition of its commitment to apprenticeship programmes and fostering growth and development.
