DC Timber project

DC Timber Systems has retained its gold status accreditation – the highest rating which can be achieved – by the Structural Timber Association (STA), through its STA Assure scheme.

Based in Dundonald in Ayrshire, DC Timber Systems, a division of The JR Group, specialises in the design and manufacture of structural and full timber frame kits throughout Scotland and the UK.

Projects this year have included a development of 82 affordable homes at Upper Achintore in Fort William, and a £9 million site in Paisley, comprising 48 affordable homes for social rent at East Lane for Loretto Housing Association, part of Wheatley Group.

Ian Samson, MD of DC Timber Systems, said, “We have diligently worked to ensure our high standards are constantly maintained and this has paid off as we are delighted to retain the highest possible status from the Structural Timber Association. Retaining our gold standard status demonstrates our calibre and expertise to the market and offers complete reassurance for our customers.

“We’re hugely grateful for our workforce on operating consistently at this high level to help us maintain this achievement as a team. We have worked on a number of exciting projects this year to create new homes across Scotland. We have built an excellent reputation which has resulted in building a fantastic relationship with our contractors and securing even more projects for next year which will see us look to expand the team to be able to deliver the excellent quality we are known for.”

The STA Assure membership and quality standards programme is designed to benefit both customers and members alike, promoting the differing specialisms and demonstrating a commitment to top-level standards. The Gold standard is awarded to businesses that can ensure a consistently high quality of structural timber products.
