HUB Scotland will showcase its success in creating ‘modern, high quality, inspiring learning spaces’ at the Learning Places Scotland conference on 19th and 20th November at the SEC Glasgow.
Scotland’s five regional hubs have delivered hundreds of learning estate projects worth £2.7 billion, with a further £549 million under construction and £942 million in development.
For the seventh year since the conference’s inception, Hub Scotland will join the two-day Learning Places Scotland event. The organisation is exhibiting and sponsoring part of the evening awards, where several hub projects are shortlisted.
Richard Park, Hub North Scotland’s chief executive, has been a member of the Conference Advisory Group this year, helping shape the event programme. He said, “Having successfully delivered some of the country’s most inspiring and innovative learning spaces in partnership with our public sector clients, Hub Scotland has an impressive track record in the education sector. Key to our success as public sector development partners, is our focus on assisting clients to deliver new learning estate that meets Government policy priorities in relation to net zero, placemaking community wealth building.
“The Learning Places Scotland Conference provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our collective achievements, learn from across the industry, contribute to workshop debates and share best practice.”
This year’s event is held under the title ‘Maximising Opportunities across the Learning Estate’. Jenny Gilruth, MSP, cabinet secretary for education and skills, will give a keynote address at the conference on day one.
