TAYLOR Wimpey East Scotland has launched an application for approval of details related to its planning permission in principle to West Lothian Council for the development of land at the former Brotherton Farm in Livingston.
The development will provide 293 new homes, of which 25% will be affordable. The submission sets out Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s detailed proposals for housing, landscaping, and materials for the development.
Including a mix of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes, the proposed development is hoped to appeal to a wide range of potential buyers. The affordable homes will provide a range of one, two, and three-bedroom homes for social rent.
The development will also feature a new range of homes the housebuilder plans to build in Scotland.
Enjoying a semi-rural feel with existing woodland and the convenience of the A8/M8 motorway network nearby, Limefield Grove will include nine acres of open space, a new linear park, and an equipped play area. It will also provide new pedestrian and cycle links to the existing networks around Livingston, green connections to Limefield Glen/
Pauline Mills, technical director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said, “We are delighted to confirm that we have made a detailed planning application for the development of land at Brotherton Farm in Livingston.
This submission represents our significant and continued investment in the local West Lothian area, and we look forward to positive discussions with the local authority to progress with this development.
“Our proposed development at Limefield Grove will also take an industry-leading approach to biodiversity with the introduction of bug hotels, bird and bat boxes, bee-friendly planting and high-quality biodiverse landscaping throughout. In addition, each new home will also include a high performing building fabric and the installation of solar PV panels to help reduce the overall carbon footprint of the development.
“Along with an impressive range of new homes, our proposed development will also provide a range of economic benefits for the local Livingston area. This includes supporting new jobs for every year of construction and attracting new customers to local businesses from those who choose to live in one of the new homes this development aims to deliver.”
