SHEPHERD Chartered Surveyors’ latest commercial property auction will feature 24 properties and development land located across Scotland.
Set to go under the hammer in a live-streamed auction on October 17 at 2:30pm, the lots for sale include a unique opportunity to acquire a former police box in Edinburgh.
The box is located immediately off the busy crossroads between Cowgate, Pleasance, Holyrood Road and St Mary’s Street within the Old Town district of Edinburgh.
Shepherd said the police box presents a unique opportunity to acquire a sought-after piece of street furniture in an ever-popular location. Originally designed and constructed in the 1930s, the feature could be repurposed and relocated to another location to provide for example, a garden office/bar or a coffee kiosk, food stall or something else entirely, Shepherd said.
Acting on behalf of Forestry Land Scotland, Shepherd is offering two separate sites for sale in Fearnoch Argyll and St Bride’s Church and Churchyard, Alford, Aberdeenshire. In Dumfries, there is a former primary school with scope for redevelopment subject to planning.
Acting on behalf of Railway Paths Shepherd is offering two sites for sale, in Mount Vernon, Glasgow and Newcraighall, Edinburgh. Located just outside Inverness is Dunain House, a substantial C-listed stone building set within a 5.85-acre site.
Steve Barnett, managing partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said, “Auctions offer the ability to sell all types of land and commercial property through our expansive network while providing transparency and simplicity of the process. We anticipate interest to not only emerge from within the local and national market but bidders to emerge from outwith the UK given our far-reaching marketing campaigns.”
