CALEDONIA Housing Association has appointed a new chair and vice chair following its AGM.
Allan Jones has been elected chair of the management board, succeeding Tim Goddard. Allan Jones is a former board member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has been a member of the Caledonia Management board since 2021. He previously served as vice chair and chair of the group audit and risk management committee and is a member of the group development committee. He is a transformation programme manager for Aberdeenshire Council with over 25 years’ experience in the housing sector.
Fellow board member, Derek Robertson, has been elected vice chair. Derek has senior management experience in the UK charity sector, having led six charities as chief executive. He now manages his own consultancy and supports non-profit and charitable organisations with business development, sustainability and transformational change.
Allan Jones said, “This is a critical time for the social housing sector and I look forward to working with the board and senior leadership team to help Caledonia Housing Association meet the needs of its current and future tenants while continuing to build homes and communities they can be proud to live in.”
