CONSTRUCTION work is underway on a new 58-bedroom private care home in the west end of Glasgow.
Located on Anniesland Road, the facility will regenerate surplus land adjacent to Yarrow Recreation Club, which in turn will secure the long-term future of the community asset.
Proposals for the development were submitted by Morrison Community Care Group and CCG (Scotland) in 2022 and granted approval earlier this year.
Morrison Community Care Group operates exclusively in the development space of the UK care sector but previously spent over 30 years as an operator, beginning in Anniesland in 1988. Contractor CCG (Scotland) has been working with Morrison since 2017 and on a joint venture basis since 2021. Together, they have created six care homes and over 350 bed spaces across Scotland’s central belt, with Anniesland Luxury Suites being their first development in the Glasgow city region.
The care home will offer integrated amenities including en-suite bedrooms and dining rooms with meals cooked by professional chefs, as well as a cinema room, hair salon, champagne bar, visitor’s café, and landscaped grounds.
The retained clubhouse and bowling green will continue to operate during and after the construction period.

Morrison Community Care works in partnership with CCG alongside recognised consultants Holmes Miller, Cowal Design, Design Me, and CRGP.
