CONSTRUCTION and property management consultant Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB UK) has expanded its Edinburgh team following a ‘highly successful’ first quarter trading out of its new offices in George Street.

Shaun Buchan joins as a partner within the build asset consultancy team. With experience in managing national projects, Shaun has led teams conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM), stock condition surveys and asset management surveys.

Vikki Wykes joins as a senior building surveyor. She has experience in managing large key accounts for clients within the retail and leisure sectors. RLB added that her expertise extends to dilapidation work where she has represented both landlord and tenant.

The two new appointments solidify RLB’s success in its first quarter of opening its new office in May. New projects secured include the management of the refurbishment scheme at A-listed St Peter’s Church in Morningside as well as various public and private sector frameworks. RLB is also providing project management and other multi-discipline services for James Keiller Estates in the development of a new retail park in Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

RLB partner Martin McConnell said, “The addition of Shaun and Vikki to our team is a strategic step in our regional expansion. Their expertise will enhance our capabilities in building surveying and build asset consultancy. This growth reflects the increased demand from clients seeking to optimise their property portfolios.”

RLB partner Jason Brownlee added, “The success of our first few months on George Street has exceeded expectations. The Edinburgh region is pivotal to our broader growth strategy, and these appointments are testament our commitment and investment in the region.”

To celebrate the milestone, RLB Edinburgh hosted an official opening on Thursday 22 August at its George Street Offices, welcoming clients and stakeholders to mark the occasion.
