WORK is nearing completion in Dunfermline on the £8 million build of the new Abbeyview Community Hub in Fife.
The Fife Council project is being delivered by the local authority’s building services, with it involving the transformation of a former post office into a facility offering a wide range of services.
The community hub will feature a reception area with dedicated interview spaces; a multi-purpose activity space; a community function space; a teaching kitchen; IT suite; community space with kitchen; general use spaces; secure entrance for after school clubs; and a secure garden and play area.
Councillor Linda Erskine, communities and leisure spokesperson at Fife Council, said, “We’re delighted Abbeyview Community Hub is on track to open in the Autumn.
“This new, modern facility will add to the great work already happening in Abbeyview and will give the community the space it needs to grow and thrive.”
