MORGAN Sindall Construction has signed The Anti-Greenwash Charter in a move to highlight its dedication to honesty in its environmental claims.

The charter explained that ‘radical transparency’ is crucial in rebuilding trust and ensuring genuine sustainable practices are recognised and rewarded, amidst greenwashing and public scepticism.

Timothy Clement, director of social value and sustainability at Morgan Sindall Construction, said, “Our new green claims policy enhances our credibility by adding an extra layer of accountability. We pride ourselves on having solid proof behind our sustainability claims. Partnering with The Anti-Greenwash Charter ensures we meet and exceed future UK legislative requirements.”

Since 2022, The Anti-Greenwash Charter has promoted transparent environmental communications, gaining support from over 60 organisations in the construction sector, including Futurebuild, The Green Register, and Timber Development UK.

Charlie Martin, CEO of The Anti-Greenwash Charter, said, “Morgan Sindall Constructions dedication to our charter is a significant milestone. Their leadership sets a powerful example for the industry, emphasising the importance of radical transparency. We hope this partnership inspires other organisations to adopt rigorous environmental communication standards.”
