Maxi Haulage

MAXI Caledonian, the ultimate holding company of Maxi Haulage, Maxi Construction and Maxi Warehousing, has reported an increase in turnover and profit for the September 2023 audited accounts.

Group turnover has increased from £89 million to over £101 million, while profit before tax was £4.4 million.

Chairman Gerry Atkinson described the results as ‘excellent’ and thanked all those who have worked hard to achieve this in an ‘increasingly difficult commercial environment’.

Maxi Haulage turnover rose from £74.5 million to £80.9 million and recorded pre-tax profits of £2.6 million. A market of reducing demand and increasing, unrecoverable costs are said to have impacted margins in the later part of the current year and the following period. Maxi said vehicle prices have now stabilised or reduced slightly, with an improvement in availability compared with the prior year.
