KNIGHT Property Group has completed the third phase of its £20 million speculative development in East Kilbride.
The new industrial warehouse at Langlands Commercial Park features a 26,592 sq ft warehouse, with a 1,993 sq ft office space and a large secure concrete yard with 24 parking spaces and four EV car charging points.
Constructed by Clark Contracts, the main contractor, the warehouse is built to a high specification with a steel portal frame and high-performance cladding. It meets high environmental standards, achieving an EPC ‘A’ rating and BREEAM very good standard.
A multi-year deal with engineering services and asset management specialist, Briggs Equipment, has been agreed by Knight Property Group for the facility. Briggs Equipment UK, part of Sammons Industrial, is the UK and Ireland’s largest distributor of Hyster and Yale forklift trucks. Briggs also has strategic partnerships with other leading manufacturers of materials handling and industrial equipment.
The Briggs Equipment national service centre is based in Cannock, Staffordshire, with six regional centres across the UK and Ireland, including Cumbernauld. The new base in East Kilbride provides additional capacity to service the Scottish market.
