CCG is supporting Harbour Homes across Leith with a window replacement programme for over 479 households.

The three-phase workstream is being undertaken by the firm’s in-house planned maintenance division Asset Management, which has been on-site since August 2022.

The 90-home second phase was completed earlier this spring with work on a further 93 households – comprising 460 window sets – set to start this summer.

All the window sets have been fabricated by CCG in the firm’s manufacturing premises in Cambuslang. The principal material for the windows, which are each double-glazed, is PVCu with the profiles being provided by REHAU.

Jim Cunningham, CCG Asset Management manager, said, “From new build homes to planned maintenance workstreams, CCG’s partnership with Harbour Homes has extended over many years and we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to further aid their tenants with this window replacement programme.

“The windows utilised across each of the three phases have been supplied and installed entirely by CCG. This one-stop-shop service, complemented by the sales, technical, production and supply infrastructure offered by REHAU, benefits both Harbour Homes and their tenants with a high-quality product and streamlined customer service.”

Samsara McDonald, commercial sales manager at REHAU, added, “Harbour Homes’ window replacement programme is a fantastic initiative that will deliver tangible benefits to the occupants of almost 500 homes. Our TOTAL70 system achieves the highest BSI ratings for weather performance, making it ideally suited to the coastal climate of Leith.

“The profile’s unique compound with a smooth gloss finish ensures that windows retain their pristine appearance for years to come, alongside peace of mind with security, holding BSI PAS24 accreditation. Perhaps most important of all, the energy efficiency will help offer long-term savings for the homeowners. As such, it is our pleasure to supply and support CCG for such a worthy partnership with Harbour Homes.”
