ABERDEEN-based SJA Property Group is hosting a one-day seminar in an attempt to fill empty commercial units and drive footfall back into the city.
The commercial property investment seminar will take place at The Crowne Plaza on Thursday June 13 from 9am to 5pm and will cover everything from funding and optimising space through to maximising your return on investment.
SJA will be joined by industry professionals including architecture firm Space Solutions and commercial property agent FG Burnett to provide guidance on operating within the local market.
Shaun Murray, director of SJA Property, said, “Aberdeen is filled with incredible buildings, but sadly a great deal of these lie vacant. It would be great to see a buzz around the city and for more people to work and shop within the area. We believe that the best way to achieve this is to make commercial office space as attainable as possible.”
With Commercial Multi Occupancy (CMO) being at the heart of its own strategy, SJA has drafted in commercial property expert and coach Jerry Alexander and SSAS consultant Bryn Walker, who will provide an overview of the CMO process.
Shaun added, “As a start-up business ourselves, we’ve met so many small businesses looking for traditional office space, but are put off by the lengthy contracts and risk associated with a traditional lease. CMOs reduce the risk for the landlord and the tenant, so it’s a win-win really.”
