MAXI Construction has secured a £1.9 million contract from The City of Edinburgh Council to deliver retrofit works to Liberton Nursery.
The Victorian building is to benefit from replacement windows, insulation works, MEP upgrades, ceiling replacement and finishes, with the building subject to air tightness testing.
John Aitchison, Maxi Construction’s MD, said, “We are looking forward to delivering the Liberton Nursery retrofit project. This will allow us to build on our experience from the recently completed Passivhaus annexe at Sciennes Primary School.”
The project team includes Architype Ltd, Currie & Brown, G3 Consulting Engineers, and Harley Haddow.
The contract was procured via Lot 1.1.4 of the Crown Commercial Service Construction Works and Associated Services Framework for Building Works up to £3 million throughout Scotland.
