WHITEBURN Projects has secured planning consent from the Scottish Borders Council for its plans for the regeneration of the former March Street Mill in Peebles.
The 2.24-hectare site is a former 1884 woollen mill, with Whiteburn Projects to deliver 51 two, three, and four-bedroom homes, as well as retaining the former engine and boiler house for commercial use.
The Lodge Gatehouse will be sympathetically extended and modernised into a new family home, and a key focus of the approved development plan includes the preservation of the Key green space for community allotment use.
Now that planning consent has been granted, Section 75 contributions will be agreed with Scottish Borders Council.
Whiteburn Projects MD, Eve McCurrich, said, “We are delighted to have secured planning consent for our March Street development which follows extensive local consultation, and will deliver a sensitive development in the heart of the Peebles conservation area.
