CHURCHILL Homes is to launch its latest development of luxury family homes at South Ythsie in Aberdeenshire this weekend.
The Caim Collection is described as a small hamlet of ten architect-designed homes, surrounded by open countryside yet located close to the amenities of both Tarves and Pitmedden.
The collection includes the Sheiling, Croft, and Cottage house-styles, which have been designed to blend open plan living with multi-functional social spaces for entertaining, and quiet, private bedroom areas.
The developers explained that the exteriors of the homes feature rich weather board and green roof details which draw on the surroundings and create a balance between traditional Scottish vernacular design – which uses local materials – and modern styling.
The design has been inspired by nearby cottages, with the colour palette and interior design taking influence from nature.
The flagship Sheiling house type has been designed by Aimee Pirie, Churchill Homes’ newly appointed creative director. The front door opens into a ‘generous’ vestibule, with light filling the hallway through a large picture window offering panoramic views of the countryside.
The contemporary single-level home has two distinct sides, with one dedicated to modern living and entertaining, with an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area and a separate WC and utility room, which opens to the outside.
An additional, separate living room could be used as a formal lounge, home office or playroom. The other wing is made for relaxation, with four ‘spacious’ bedrooms with built-in wardrobes. Two have ensuite shower rooms and there is a decadent spa-style family bathroom. Large sliding doors bring the outdoor in, with light flooding through the numerous windows.
Aimee said, “We are delighted to officially launch the Caim Collection at South Ythsie, which offers buyers the best of both worlds – modern, beautiful and sustainable spaces in a tranquil, rural setting. I have designed each house as if it were my own and I’d love to live there myself. These are not typical bungalows, but rather thoughtfully designed, high-end homes with all the functions and accessories placed where they make most sense.
“We are looking forward to welcoming buyers to our new marketing suite and helping them to customise and visualise their dream home so it can be shared and enjoyed for years to come.”
The Caim Collection homes benefit from a particularly high specification which includes all flooring, underfloor heating and ultrafast full fibre broadband. Each home will have an individually designed contemporary Leicht kitchen from Kitchens International as standard, with integrated Siemens appliances and induction hob.
The homes are ‘highly’ energy efficient and will also include a three-phase electricity supply which can accommodate a high-speed EV charger.
A Croft and a Shelling housetype are currently under construction for sale with an anticipated completion date of summer 2024. All other plots will be built to order.
