Major housebuilders join line-up for Homebuyer Show Scotland

Brackenhill Park in Hamilton

WESTPOINT Homes and Stewart Milne Homes have been revealed as the latest big-name exhibitors to sign up for Homebuyer Show Scotland, which takes place at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall next spring.

The housebuilders will be showcasing their latest developments at the free to attend event, which is backed by new homes audience platform WhatHouse.com and run in partnership with the Mortgage Advice Bureau.

Originally planned for this autumn, the event has been rescheduled in response to current market conditions until Saturday April 20, 2024.

Homebuyer Show Scotland will provide an opportunity for prospective buyers to meet housebuilders, legal experts, mortgage specialists and interior designers, as well as attend seminars and talks from property experts.

Caryl Speirs, sales manager for Westpoint Homes, said, “Homebuyer Show Scotland will be a wonderful platform for us to promote our latest developments in Glasgow and Edinburgh and have a chance to meet buyers face-to-face. We look forward to telling them a little bit more about the company which has been offering one-of-a-kind developments in desirable locations throughout Scotland’s central belt for more than 30 years.”

Westpoint Homes currently has apartment developments at Cottonyards in New Gorbals, Quarter West in Partick, Origin at the Point in Corstorphine and FiveSouth in Giffnock, with housing developments coming soon to Newlands and West Kilbride.

Isobel Warnock, head of sales Scotland for Stewart Milne Homes, added, “It’s great to join the prestigious line-up at Homebuyer Show Scotland. Not only is it a fantastic opportunity to showcase our wonderful developments, homes and incentives directly to potential buyers, but also to help de-mystify the home buying process not just for those purchasing their first property, but for second steppers and downsizers, some of whom may not have moved home for many years.”

In central Scotland Stewart Milne is currently building at Brackenhill Park in Hamilton, Dargavel Village in Bishopton, Hunters Meadow in Auchterarder, Letham Views in Haddington and Shawfair in Midlothian.

Homebuyer Show Scotland follows the success of the inaugural event which was held in 2019 and put on hold during the pandemic.

Event director Matt Colgan said, “It’s great news that we look to welcome Westpoint Homes and Stewart Milne Homes to Homebuyer Show Scotland taking place this spring. As the market presents some challenges, there will be no better time for the industry to work together to give practical homebuying advice and support Scottish homebuyers as they look to make their next move.

“The show will provide an invaluable hub of knowledge for all attendees, regardless of whether they are just in the early stages of thinking about buying a home or have been looking for their dream property for several years.  There will also be limited time offers from some of our exhibitors on the day which buyers just can’t afford to miss out on.”
