BARRATT Developments recently welcomed Stephanie Callaghan MSP to Torrance Park in Holytown, near Motherwell, to mark two Pride in the Job Quality Award wins for the development’s site managers.
Andrew Buchanan and Robert Hamilton, both site managers at Torrance Park, received the accolade from the National House Building Council (NHBC).
This year, a total of 19 site managers from Barratt Developments Scotland, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, won a national award for the quality of the homes they are building – the most ever received by the housebuilder in Scotland.
Stephanie Callaghan, MSP for Uddingston and Bellshill, met Andrew and Robert along with David Scott, MD for Barratt Developments West Scotland, construction director Craig McFarlane and contracts manager David Morton.
David Scott said, “We were thrilled to welcome Stephanie Callaghan MSP to Torrance Park and to demonstrate the quality which we are building across all tenures in her constituency. The Pride in the Job awards acknowledge the work we’re doing to showcase our commitment in building the highest standard of homes in Motherwell and across Scotland, with our elite site managers demonstrating our award-winning customer care.”
Stephanie Callaghan MSP added, “I was delighted to visit the Barratt Homes housing development at Torrance Park in Holytown, to congratulate Pride in the Job award winning site managers Robert and Andrew. It was clear to see the link between high local demand for these wonderful homes, and the sense of pride every worker takes in doing a great job at every stage of the build. I heard how Barratt pride themselves on growing a talented local workforce and promoting from within, creating workers who are naturally invested in their communities and delivering fantastic homes for people to enjoy.”
