DANDARA East Scotland has donated £200 to support the Dalkeith Festival for the second year running.
Due to take place on Saturday August 5, the funds will help to finance an array of activities at the event, which is held just a short distance away from Dandara’s Eskbank Gardens development.
A fun fair, performances by local musicians and dancers, pony rides and face painting will be on offer.
Margot Russell, secretary of Dalkeith Festival Committee, said, “We are absolutely delighted to host the festival again this summer. It’s heartwarming to see the community coming together, especially during these tough times when many families have been facing challenges due to the cost-of-living crisis.
“Events like this play a vital role in bringing cheer, offering a small respite and a sense of togetherness. We are hugely grateful to Dandara and all our sponsors, as their generous donations make it possible for us to continue hosting this cherished event, which holds such a special place in the hearts of our community.”
Tony Williamson, sales director at Dandara East Scotland, added, “We are happy to extend our support to this fantastic festival, as it serves as an excellent initiative to foster unity within the local community. We hope that everyone has a brilliant time and that some of our residents at Eskbank Gardens manage to make it along to enjoy the fun!”
