NETWORK Rail and four of its supply chain partners are to showcase the career opportunities available in the rail sector at an upcoming event in Glasgow.
The rail organisation will be joined by QTS, Story Contracting, AmcoGiffen, and BAM Nuttall at the National School and College Leaver Show (NSCL) 2023 in Glasgow to highlight the different roles available.
Taking place on March 28 and 29 at the SEC, the event will provide school and college leavers direct engagement with the experts involved in projects across Scotland’s railway. Roles ranging from engineering to finance, project management, procurement, planning, and ecology are set to be showcased and discussed.
Jeremy Spence, senior programme manager at Network Rail, said, “Network Rail and our supply chain partners are looking forward to taking part in this year’s National School and College Leaver Show. It’s not always easy, when trying to enter the workplace for the first time, to know what options are available to you.
“This event provides an ideal platform by allowing a range of businesses and industries to directly engage with future employees and help steer them in taking the first tentative steps on their career path. Speaking from experience, the rail industry offers an innovative, exciting and diverse working environment that spans many different disciplines. As such, it also provides an opportunity to grow and move within the business as your work-life progresses – Scotland’s Railway truly is a career in the making.”
The NSCL Show is free to attend for school and college leavers, as well as young adults, parents, and carers. More information can be found here.
