Scottish construction team raises more than £10,000 in Kiltwalk charity challenge

TEAM members from Paisley-based construction firm, The JR Group, raised £10,650 for charity after completing the 26-mile Kiltwalk.

The cash will be divided between the The British Heart Foundation and Beatson Cancer Charity, with the Hunter Foundation adding an additional 50%, making a grand total of £15,975 – a near 700% increase on the original target of £2,000.

The Kiltwalk, a mass participation walking event that has been raising funds for Scottish charities and projects since 2016, has raised £29 million for more than 2,600 charities.

Gary McGregor, MD of The JR Group, said, “Our team is very enthusiastic about fundraising for charity, and I am proud of how much free time we dedicate to these kinds of events. There were a few blisters and sore muscles the following day, but the incredible amount raised, with the generous top up from the Hunter Foundation, makes it all worthwhile.

“We would like to thank all of the team, family, friends business suppliers, and partners for their incredibly generous donations.”
