Plans approved for 156-home development in Glasgow’s east end

PLANS to build 156 new homes in Glasgow’s east end have been approved by the city’s council.

CCG Homes submitted proposals last spring with the intent to transform a former school site on Edinburgh Road in the Springboig area of the city.

The approved housing mix comprises a total of 124 two, three, and four-bedroom properties in a range of terraced, semi-detached, and detached house types that will be released for private sale – with a further 32 one and two-bedroom apartments for market rent that will be led by a chosen rental partner.

CCG said that the site will retain a focus on its biodiversity with ‘spacious’ rear gardens and communal amenity space whilst all of the homes will achieve ‘enhanced’ standards of environmental performance to support lower annual energy bills for future residents.

Calum Murray, CCG Homes MD, said, “CCG Homes is delighted to have received approval for this exciting development in what will be a transformative project for the east end of Glasgow. We are confident that the variety of house types on offer, which will be available with high-specification as standard, will cater to a wide range of buyers and we look forward to releasing more sales information over the coming months.”
