PERTHSHIRE-based construction company Hadden Group has donated over £11,000 to local charity Mindspace following the firm’s annual charity golf day at Crieff Golf Club.

32 teams totalling 120 players took part on the day. Teams comprised of clients, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers. Players enjoyed a round of golf and a post-match meal in the clubhouse followed by prizegiving, a charity raffle and silent auction to raise funds.

Mindspace has been supporting people experiencing mental ill health for almost 40 years. The organisation aims to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for both adults and young people within Perth and Kinross.

Jillian Milne, CEO of Mindspace, said, “Once again an enormous thanks to Hadden Group for your support of our work – it just means so much to us! A full complement of counselling sessions for one person costs over £400 so this fantastic amount will allow us to deliver so much more valuable support work around mental health.”

Scott Hadden, chairman of Hadden Group, added, “Each year our business chooses a charity partner and this year, with the challenges of Covid and lockdown, support for mental heath services has never been more important. We’re extremely proud that we’ve managed to raise this amount which will make a real difference to Mindspace and the important work they do.

“Huge thanks are due to all our partners who supported the event with sponsorship, raffle donations and taking part as well as our staff who put the event together and made this great day happen.”
