THE JR Group has completed construction of an 86-home affordable housing project at Bridge Street in Cambuslang, which has been handed over to Link Group.
The development comprises ten apartment blocks featuring one and two-bedroom flats, as well as two and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached houses, including eight wheelchair exemplar properties. 125 parking spaces have been created, along with a children’s play park.
Most of the work took place in during the Covid-19 pandemic, which JR Group said resulted in the team overcoming ‘unexpected challenges’ to finalise the ‘much-needed’ properties.
Andrew Dallas, project director for The JR Group, said, “We are excited for the residents of Bridge Street to move in and create new memories now the development has been completed. Our team has done a fantastic job throughout the last 18 months, handling everything professionally and quickly without affecting the integrity of the project.
“We are thrilled to have once again worked alongside Link Group to facilitate more high quality, affordable housing within Cambuslang and we look forward to continuing to work together in future.”
