DUBLANE’S existing sewer network is to be replaced and upgraded in a ‘vital’ £3 million project.

The works will be delivered by Scottish Water’s alliance partner, amey-binnies, and will look to reduce the risk of internal and external sewer flooding in the town.

It will see work undertaken along Claredon Place, Springfield Terrace, George Street and through the field behind Hillside Avenue.

Georgina Reid, Scottish Water’s corporate affairs manager for the west, said, “We take sewer flooding very seriously as we recognise the distress and disruption it can cause to communities across Scotland. We are pleased that a solution to the historic flooding issue is now underway. We appreciate these works may cause some disruption in the local community and we’d like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding while this vital work is being carried out.”
