Housebuilder opens doors to restoration of historic Glasgow building

CALA Homes (West) has announced that homebuyers in Glasgow can now set foot inside the transformed first phase of the iconic David Stow building.

The former teaching college, which is celebrating its centenary year, is being given a new lease of life by the homebuilder, with the first in its collection of luxury apartments now available for reservation.

The David Stow Collection is described as showcasing the ‘sympathetic restoration’ of the B-listed building at the heart of the Jordanhill Park development.

Potential buyers can view the two-bedroom show apartment within the historic building. The David Stow Collection will offer 64 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.

Within the preserved red sandstone building, each apartment retains period features including ceiling heights of up to 3.8 metres and crittall-style windows.

Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director from CALA Homes (West), said, “To say we’re delighted to finally launch the first phase of The David Stow Collection to the public is an understatement. We’ve been building up to this for a number of years, with the teams working hard on a sympathetic restoration of one of Glasgow’s most stunning buildings – giving it a brand-new lease of life.”
