SEVEN Taylor Wimpey site managers from the firm’s developments across the west of Scotland are celebrating having won a national housebuilding award.
Iain Alexander (Benthall Farm, East Kilbride), Dougie Kirkland (Newton Farm, Cambuslang); David McClure (Westfield Gate, Maidenhill); Colin Hurren (Hawkhead Gardens, Paisley); Scott McNulty (Princess Gate, Troon); Mark Brodie (Dargavel Village, Bishopton); and Scott McCreadie (Burnside View, Coatbridge) each won a National House Building Council’s (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality award.
They will now progress to the Scottish regional awards final later this year to find out who is the best of the best in Scotland. The awards are presented following a judging process by NHBC inspectors. Taylor Wimpey said the recognition the seven site managers have achieved gives homebuyers the assurance that the homes in these locations are of the highest quality.
Brian Henderson, Production Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland said, “We are very proud that we have some of the best site managers in Scotland, and we are delighted that seven site managers in the west of Scotland have been recognised with Quality Awards in this year’s NHBC’s Pride in the Job.
“Having seven of our site managers through to the final stages of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards is fantastic news and recognises our drive to deliver the highest levels of quality, service and customer care for our customers right across the west of Scotland.”
Steve Wood, NHBC Chief Executive, added, “Pride in the Job has been pivotal in improving the quality of new homes for more than 40 years. Despite the numerous challenges the industry has faced, the very best site managers of 2021 have remained focused on delivering high quality new homes for their customers.
“At NHBC we are very proud of Pride in the Job, what it stands for and the impact it has across the sector. Pride in the Job winning sites have higher levels of homeowner satisfaction as these homes are among the very best in the country.
“Congratulations to all the 2021 Pride in the Job Quality Award winners – be proud of what you are building and the standards you are setting.”
