CRUDEN Building has been appointed as the preferred contractor by Forth Housing Association to deliver 24 new affordable homes in Stirling.
Following a competitive tender, Cruden will start work on the Johnston Avenue project in early May. The properties will comprise a mix of semi-detached, and terraced houses and cottage flats.
The Cruden Group previously delivered a project with the housing association in Raploch.
Allan Callaghan, MD of Cruden Building, said, “We are delighted to carry on the strong working relationship previously forged between the Cruden Group and Forth Housing Association as we begin work on this exciting new development in Stirling to deliver 24 high-quality homes. As with all Cruden Group developments, we will also support the local residents by providing a range of community benefits including valuable jobs and training opportunities during the build.”
Forth’s chair, Gordon Mason, added, “We are delighted to see works starting on the second phase of regeneration at Johnston Avenue, Cornton, which will provide a further 24 properties. This will address a real demand for high quality sustainable homes for affordable rent in an area where house prices and rents remain high.”
