ALLIED Surveyors Scotland has announced it has been appointed to sell the former Macdonald Marine Hotel’s staff accommodation building in North Berwick.
The firm has been retained by Chicago-based AJ Capital Partners who purchased the Marine Hotel & Spa from Macdonald Hotels last February.
The staff accommodation building, which consists of 18-bedrooms over four-storeys, is surplus to requirements and has been placed on the market at offers over £1.353 million.
“This is a prime development opportunity on the main road leading into one of Scotland’s most sought-after coastal towns,” said Iain Mercer, Allied Surveyors’ director of commercial agency (east). “We expect high levels of demand from residential developers in particular, but other uses may also be viable.”
AJ Capital Partners is currently undertaking a refurbishment of the Marine Hotel & Spa, with plans to reopen the venue later this year.
