Arc-Tech to deliver M&E package at new Clydebank health facility

BAM Construct UK, in partnership with hub West Scotland, has again teamed up with Arc-Tech to help deliver the new Clydebank Health & Care Centre.

Construction started at the new facility, located within the Queens Quay Regeneration masterplan last year, with Arc-Tech now on-site providing a package of mechanical and electrical services as part of a £3.4 million contract.

A full turnkey M&E package in support of the main construction programme will include heating, ventilation, plumbing, air conditioning and electrical services, inclusive of power, lighting, security and data systems.

The contract is the first to have been taken forward since Arc-Tech was confirmed as a preferred category 1 sub-contractor for BAM in the provision of M&E/building services in Scotland, one of only two contractors to achieve such status.

John Gallacher, Arc-Tech MD, said, “The new Clydebank Health & Care Centre is Arc-Tech’s largest contract award since our conception in 2016. It is also only the second between our company and BAM UK so to have been granted a contract of this magnitude so early in our partnership shows the level of trust BAM have in us and we are very thankful for that.

“We will strive to deliver the very highest standards of workmanship and customer service as the contract progresses throughout 2021.”

Jim Ward, construction director for BAM Construction, added, “Following the successful delivery of our Stobhill Project last year, we are delighted to be collaborating with Arc-Tech (Scotland) Ltd once again and we look forward to our partnership delivering another first class facility for hub West Scotland and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.”
