Retail therapy: Livingston shopping outlet makeover begins

CLARK Contracts is delivering a major refurbishment at Livingston Designer Outlet following a £7 million investment from its owners.

The investment in the centre, managed by retail asset management firm Realm Ltd, will create a new guest experience, and follows a growing number of big brand names opening stores there.

Clark Contracts has been appointed to carry out the works which will be delivered on a nightshift basis to minimise disruption to the shopping centre, which currently boasts over 80 boutiques, restaurants and cafes as well as a Vue Cinema.

Steve Blades, capital projects manager at Realm said, “We are pleased to appoint Clark Contracts and look forward to working closely with them to deliver this exciting project which will firmly secure Livingston’s reputation as Scotland’s leading designer outlet for years to come.”

Gerry Cummins, director at Clark Contracts added, “We are looking forward to delivering the fit out of this popular shopping centre and hope that the changes made will improve Livingston Designer Outlet shoppers’ experience.”

Clark Contracts has recently completed fit out works at the Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh and previously worked in Braehead Shopping Centre in Glasgow, the Oak Mall in Greenock and Rivergate Shopping Centre in Irvine.
