Council leader lauds Glasgow housing project progress

THE Leader of Glasgow City Council, Councillor Susan Aitken, has visited Glasgow’s southside to see how work is progressing on a new 156-home development in Pollokshaws.

CCG, through its private housing arm CCG Homes, is delivering the Riverford Gardens project, which is due for completion in January 2020. The development will offer a range of properties with views across the White Cart River and Auldhouse Park.

Councillor Aitken, who previously visited the site in June, said, “It is great to see so much progress since I last visited Riverford Gardens. The homes are really taking shape and are getting a great response from prospective buyers. This development is playing a significant role in the ongoing regeneration of Pollokshaws – offering new homes in an area with great amenities, green space and links to the city centre.”

CCG chairman and CEO Alastair Wylie added, “It was a pleasure to welcome councillor Aitken back to Riverford Gardens to allow her to see how our work is progressing as well as meeting some of our trade apprentices. Riverford Gardens is a flagship development for our CCG Homes brand and with such an exclusive location, it is no surprise that the luxury homes on offer are under high demand with our sales return being very positive since our launch in September. We feel that the range of house types on offer covers a broad demographic homebuyer demographic and look forward to having our first residents in place in early 2019.”
