CONTRACTOR Robertson has extended an invitation to families across the north east to attend a two-day construction event in Aberdeen.
The event takes place on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 August at Aberdeen Science Centre and features construction themed activities including a simulator, a ‘STEM Wizard School’, a ‘Cube Challenge’ and a ‘Construction Zone’ where kids can dress up like construction workers.
Robertson, which is currently building the new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), which includes The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA), has organised the family days as part of the Year of Young People, which seeks to “inspire the next generation of builders and engineers”.
Gemma Gourlay, Robertson director of social sustainability said, “This is a great opportunity for children and young people to learn about the construction industry through play and fun filled activities. From toddlers to older children and their parents and carers, there’ll be something for everyone at the Robertson family days, so come along and join in the construction fun!”
The family fun days will take place at the Aberdeen Science Centre on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th August 2018 from 10:30am – 3pm.
