A planning application has been submitted for a proposed new 62-home development in Ayr.
The joint application has been submitted by CALA Homes (West) for the new homes off Dunure Road, within the previously consented Greenan, Ayr site.
The proposals comprise four and five-bedroom homes and are part of a wider masterplan for around 500 private and affordable home, which are being delivered largely by Mactaggart & Mickel across 35 hectares of land to the southwest of Doonfoot.
CALA’s proposals form part of phase five of the masterplan. The homes will be designed to the housebuilders new Light & Space specifications, which CALA describes as offering “the ultimate in contemporary living” with “bright and feature flexible interiors”.
Graham McNeil, land director for CALA Homes (West) said, “The submission of this planning application shows CALA’s commitment to once again delivering high quality homes in Ayr.
“If approved, the homes will offer something different and appeal to buyers looking for a spacious, contemporary homes, in a beautiful coastal location.”

CALA is targeting a positive planning decision from South Ayrshire Council around December. If planning permission is granted, work is expected to start on site in April 2019, with the first residents taking occupation around a year later.
