CONSTRUCTION firm CCG has launched a new housing development in Glasgow’s south side.
The Riverford Gardens development is located on Riverford Road in Pollokshaws and will comprise 52 three and four-bedroom properties and 104 one and two-bedroom flats.
Councillor Susan Aitken, leader of Glasgow City Council and city convener for inclusive economic growth, officially launched the development recently. She commented, “I’m pleased to launch this Riverford Gardens site and hear more about the role this development will play in the continued regeneration of Pollokshaws.
“When this development is completed, it will add to the range of houses and flats which are being built across the city. Future homeowners can be sure of high quality homes in a part of the city with excellent amenities, transport links and access to green space.”
Calum Murray, director of CCG added, “Our step back into the private housing market is due to our belief that the marketplace is in short supply of quality private housing that is attainable, particularly for first time buyers. We believe that Riverford Gardens, with the diversity of house types and an outstanding location, will be appealing to a range of buyers.
“The development will be undertaken by CCG Group from the delivery of energy efficient timber systems and construction through to the manufacture and fit out of all the internals and services. By using our own products and expertise, we will be able to provide buyers with enhanced environmental and energy performance with an assurance of quality.”
CCG Homes said it aims to have the first properties ready before the end of the year.
