WSP has appointed David Stephens to the role of head of local government, part of the firm’s transport and infrastructure strategic business unit.
The professional services and engineering consultancy said the move is designed to enhanced WSP’s efforts in this area and further develop the £100 million worth of local government work the business already does across the UK.
David, who will be based in WSP’s Glasgow office, was previously the development director for the Europe state and local government business at CH2M. He said, “After 14 great years with Halcrow and CH2M the next move was always going to be a big decision.
“Combined with the opportunity to develop a business focused on supporting our local government clients, it was WSP’s forward-looking culture that got me really excited.”
