Work starts on Perth housing developments

TWO new housing developments are to get underway in the north of Perth this month – both of which are being designed and built by CCG for Perth & Kinross Council.

Set for completion in Spring next year, CCG said one site at Nimmo Avenue will be transformed into 10 one-bedroomed flats and cottages, half of which will be fully wheelchair accessible. A further eight one-bedroomed cottage flats will be built on a former garage site on Cairns Crescent.

Both developments will be delivered using offsite construction, utilising a timber system that is designed and manufactured at CCG’s Cambuslang base.

Calum Murray, director of CCG said, “It is great to see these new projects get underway in Perth.  Every year we’re continuing to expand the geographical spread of our business and this project is particularly exciting as we look to widen the scope of our residential developments north of the central belt.”

The Council’s Convener of Housing and Health, Councillor Dave Doogan added, “These new build projects are part of the Council’s affordable house building programme which has already delivered around 200 new Council homes in the last three years.”
